ABOUT SCHAFFER MACHINE INCORPORATED

HISTORY

In 1989, Doug Schaffer started a machine shop called D&D Technical Designs near Minneapolis, Minnesota. The shop had only 2 employees when it began. In 1993, Doug moved the business to Millerville, Minnesota and renamed it to Schaffer Machine, Incorporated. Since that time, Randy Bitzan and Dan Byrne joined Doug as part owners. Randy named as Plant Manager and Dan as the Engineer/Quality Control Manager.

Doug has since then retired and sold his partnership to Dan and Randy.

Since the start, Schaffer Machine, Inc. has successfully been in the job shop business, die cast mold building, and fixture design and building, with gun component manufacturing being our specialty.
